Great views with True Vue

If you’re lucky enough to own a home in the countryside with beautiful views from a huge feature window – you want to make the most of it.

But with big windows come big problems.

A very large window lets in loads of natural daylight – but is also a recipe for excess heat and glare.

That big chunk of glass concentrates the sun’s rays and acts like a magnifying glass – and you are the ants…

But – what to do?

You want to make the most of the sun, and certainly don’t want to sacrifice all that loveliness.

Blind panic

Using blinds will obviously obscure some of the view and change the whole look of the room. And if it’s really sunny you’d need to pull the blinds all the way down – totally defeating the object of that beautiful window.

This is exactly the problem our clients had at their large new build Oxfordshire home.

Shortly after moving in they realised that the fantastic views from the high-level apex windows were going to be over-powered with heat and glare from the sun.

The idea of curtains or blinds was a non-starter.

They called us – and after careful consideration we suggested Solar Gard True Vue 30 window film was the best solution. It’s almost invisible, but would reduce the heat and glare by almost 70%, and would still allow plenty of light to flood in.

And there’s more..

On top of the brilliant heat and glare benefits, the film drastically reduces UV rays – protecting soft furnishings, furniture and fabrics from damage and fading.

A great result
